There is nothing more rewarding than watching a wild and wonderful idea become a physical reality through the fervent work of one's own hands.
I think that this is what has driven me throughout my life to create. It's the the profound love of an idea - of a story, or character - and the gift of the ability watch those ideas come to life, as my fingers put pencil to paper, paint to canvas, or needle to fabric. It's as though the vibrant world in my mind can have its own separate life through my creations. To share it with the world is to honor it and immortalize it. After all, it's not what you accomplish in life, but who you touch along the way. |
